Following a traditional apprenticeship in antique restoration in one of England's finest workshops, David concentrated throughout the 1980's in this field, working with the likes of English Heritage and the National Trust. Expanding his business to furniture design and manufacturing, David opened his first showroom in Chelsea, London in 1989. To this day David continues to produce bespoke designs for prestigious architects and interior designers worldwide, for private clients and most of the world's royal households.
Since 2002 David has been a main board director of the British Furniture Manufacturers Association, which represents the industry not only to the market place, but also to government and suppliers. In 2003 David received the honour of the Freedom of the City of London and was made a liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers.
Building on David’s vast knowledge of the highest quality of furniture design and manufacturing, In 2005 he was persuaded by his professional client base to move into the hospitality sector. Through his specialised manufacturing base in Vietnam, David provided highly competitive FF&E bespoke packages to developers, procurement companies, interior designers, architects, and hotel operators of the five-star industry globally.
